Virtual reality is shaping up to be the greatest transformation in media ever. That’s the hype anyway. But who knows for sure?
Want to hear a discussion about how to shoot and edit your own award winning VR piece? Then come along this evening, March 17th from 6:30-8:30PM, on a trip to Dumbo to hear director Kiira Benzing’s talk at VR Meet-Up 2.
Held in the cavernous IFP Made in NY Media Center (30 John Street, Brooklyn), it’s still a pretty casual atmosphere where you can watch and participate in the Q&A after checking out Kiira’s discusses award winning 360-degree VR short “Cardboard City”.
The piece documents artist Danielle Ash, a Brooklyn-based stop motion animator, who created a cardboard world that recreates a whole neighborhood. The short shared in a top prize given by Samsung in support of its Milk VR project.
Attendance is free, but you must register by clicking this link.
