When you walked into Manhattan’s Metropolitan Pavilion on West 18th Street on September 27 or 28, you likely felt a sense of déjà vu: Wasn’t there a trade show like Cine Gear Expo here once?
The truth is, those in LA get a Cine Gear Expo every year, while New Yorkers make do with a biennial show. But while the full range of technology available to those on the East Coast doesn’t compare in breadth, New York tire-kickers need not fret, as a choice selection still meant that you could come away with a good sense of where the industry is headed.
