Arthur Allows Geographically-Dispersed Teams to Meet, Collaborate
and Manage Their Work in VR – Oculus Quest and Quest 2 Support
Enables Instant Onboarding via Headset as well as Easy Evaluation
San Mateo, CA – Arthur – a pioneering company in the virtual meeting market – following unprecedented growth with its eponymous and acclaimed Professional VR office solution, today announced the availability of a new Consumer version via the Oculus store. Through the Oculus Store, independent professionals now have instant access to the Arthur platform, by installing the app direct from their Oculus Quest® and Quest 2® headsets. Announced enterprise customers include the United Nations, Société Générale® S.A – one of the largest French banks, and one of the largest professional services firms in the world. Arthur expects many small businesses to download the new Oculus store version.
Using Arthur is very simple: put on the untethered and lightweight Virtual Reality headsets from Oculus and select Arthur from the list of installable apps. Then, users enter their virtual office without the need for a second of travel. These office spaces can be easily decorated with standard office equipment such as working monitors, collaborative whiteboards, and more. Using Arthur, employees can meet colleagues with true-to-life avatars in a custom 3D office/conference room or even full buildings – experiencing meetings that feel like you’re all sharing the same space without lag or buffering.
Beyond the obvious benefits that VR collaboration solutions offer, Arthur’s main advantages over other alternatives are rooted in the fact that the platform is fully business-ready. This shows in several areas: Arthur places high importance on the security of their clients’ data with features such as end-to-end encryption, and Arthur is also very scalable. Arthur is proven over tens of thousands of hours of use to be extremely reliable – high uptimes are guaranteed, even with 40+ people simultaneously in VR. Lastly, Arthur’s VR office, rooms, and content are fully-customizable and can easily be changed by users on the fly.
Arthur is powered by Amazon® AWS™ and can easily meet any size environment while using state-of-the-art VR to make it all possible in an effortless and truly natural fashion. Whether an exact replica of your standard office conference room or a fanciful environment limited only by your imagination, Arthur delivers an experience optimized for productive meetings that have become necessities in today’s world with limited travel and work-from-home. All Arthur rooms and environments are persistent and can, as previously mentioned, be easily reconfigured on-the-fly if required – want to increase a room size? Easy. Teleport to a new environment? Effortless.
Through Arthur, all professionals can dramatically expand their reach, conduct remote team/project management, save considerable amounts of money on travel and/or office space, and save time to work more efficiently. The Consumer version represents an exciting, highly-functional but space-, service- and team-sized limited version of Arthur when compared to the Professional tier. The main distinction is that the Consumer version is suitable for a different target group including startups and professional individuals and a smaller set of use-cases, including whiteboard workshops, simple presentation meetings, and other productive meetings of up to 6 people.
“We are very excited to be partnering with Oculus in making our acclaimed platform available in the most seamless and effortless method possible,” said Christoph Fleischmann, founder, and CEO of Arthur. “We are honored to be part of the Oculus VR ecosystem and have every confidence that new business customers experiencing Arthur for the first time will be just as impressed with it as some of the biggest companies in the world were when we announced our open Beta with them at the end of 2020.”
