New York-based Cause & [Effect]has added Jenn Dewey as Executive Producer of their growing commercial division. With 15 years of post-production experience, Dewey has developed a fine-tuned expertise for every step in the process: CG, animation, editorial compositing, motion graphics, color correction, visual effects. Joining the team after most recently holding the role of Senior Producer at Method Studios, she has worked on numerous top commercial projects for brands such as Pepsi, HP, ETrade, Verizon, BMW, Nintendo and Twinnings for major agencies such as BBDO NY, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Grey, mcgarrybowen, kbs+, Leo Burnett and AMVBBDO.
Notes Cause & [Effect] Executive Producer/Partner Jason Zemlicka, “I have been following Jenn’s rising career as a producer over the years, and we are really excited to have her finally join our team. I’m looking forward to growing our commercial offerings with Jenn on board.” Adds Dewey, “I’m really excited to join such a collaborative and nimble team as Cause & [Effect]. This allows me to take all of my experience in production and animation and leverage that to build strategic teams for projects, both big and small.”
Growing up with a film editor in the family, Los Angeles native Dewey always knew that she would work in production and landed her first gig as a P.A. at Walt Disney Feature Animation straight out of college. She got hooked on the animation and post-production process and continued to work as a post producer on episodic television and commercial work for L.A. studios including Imaginary Forces and MTV Networks. Yearning for a taste of real weather, she made the move to NYC in 2003 and refined her skills for building teams on post-production projects at top shops such as Charlex, Trollbäck+Company, Framestore NY, MassMarket and Method Studios. When not producing, Dewey can be found running through Central Park or checking out the city’s latest contemporary art exhibit.
