Michael Hirschorn, writing in the current issue of The Atlantic, sees the coming end of the Internet and its free form—hell, anarchic—sensibility, doomed to be replaced by a few cellphone networks and manufacturers who are creating carefully controlled, totally commodified systems (we’re thinking of you, Mr. Jobs).
