Looks like someone thinks there’s opportunity in postproduction: as part of its ongoing expansion, Mega Playground recently opened a new audio mixing suite, installing long format and TV series soundmixer Keith Hodne as Mixer in Residence.
Playground has outfitted it respectably with an Icon D Command console, Protools 8, JBL monitors, and a “powerful arsenal” of plug-ins and outboard gear. Hodne is said to have brought Native Instruments Komplete along; it’s one of the top collection of apps for sound design.
Playground said it plans to add a second mixing room, an iso Booth and a control room to facilitate three simultaneous sessions for its growing mix of TV series and independent films.
Hodne moves to The Playground following over three years with NY’s Big Yellow Duck audio post shop and five years with Pomann Sound.
