We somehow missed this announcement in April about the Kaufman Astoria studio build-out – it came out just after NAB, when emails, calls and other cleanup from the show take precedence. Kaufman Astoria Studios announces a $20 million expansion plan, which adds a 10th stage at the historic studio. The studio – Stage N – will be 18,000 sq. foot in size, with 40-foot ceilings. Construction is expected to take 14 months from its start scheduled for early next year. Here’s the Daily News article for more.
And here’s a rendering of the stage in situ.
