Partnerships Between post houses doesn’t seem like something that would make much sense. But put a little distance between them though – say 790 miles which is what you’ll find that Chicago and New York are separated by – and it could just work. At least that seems what Optimus and Nice Shoes are up to.
The two facilities began a Remote Color partnership earlier this year, which basically meant that Optimus – a full-service production and post facility with another office in Santa Monica – got the services of Nice Shoes’ colorists. While that sounds good on paper, putting boots, or in this case Shoes on the ground, always seems to make a difference. That realization brings Nice Shoes’ colorist Ron Sudul to Chicago.
In a prepared statement, Nice Shoes Partner/CEO Dominic Pandolfino said that “We’ve wanted to establish a presence in Chicago for years, and we couldn’t think of a better way to do so than with Ron heading there to lead Nice Shoes at Optimus.”
