Sony’s first larger CMOS camcorder, the EX350
Abel Cine Tech hosts a get to know session on the Sony PMW-350 XDCAM (a 2/3-inch camcorder also known as the EX350) this Thursday, December 3rd.
Abel’s Camera Technology Specialist Andy Shipsides and other industry types promise to take you “under the hood” of Sony’s first CMOS camcorder with these larger-sized chips, which allow the use of top quality B4 mount lenses. The camcorder should also exhibit the ultra low-light performance of the other CMOS-‘d members of the XDCAM EX family.
Expect to see footage shot with the EX350 by a mysterious “guest filmmaker”. There will be talk too about how each of the cameras in the XDCAM EX family, including the new EX1R, suit particular production needs.
To be held from 6pm – 9pm at Abel Cine Tech’s NY headquarters at 609 Greenwich Street, things start off with a camera presentation followed by a Q&A. Refreshments, as the saying goes, will be served. You’ll need to hurry though, as space is limited with “only a few spots left”, so call Claire Orpeza at (212) 462-0100 or email: rsvp@abelcine.com
