Okay, so you’ve been kicking that screenplay idea around for a while. But what are you going to do to finish it?
The folks at Mediabistro feel your angst. That’s why they’ve set up a 12-week course to be taught by D.B. Gilles, a teacher (NYU film) and writer (The Screenwriter Within) who thinks he knows what ails you (see link above). With classes running three hours a week, it’s a pretty reasonable tab at $610 ($575 for Mediabistro members).
The course—to be taught somewhere in mid-town—aims at pushing intermediate to advanced writers to finish a project in this “intense” workshop by teaching a sound, traditional approach: “The three-act structure of screenwriting,” “How to enhance your storytelling abilities and create more drama in every scene”, “How to format and structure your screenplay”…you get the idea.
