Do you know what a DIT (digital imaging technician) does on a feature-film set? Come to our next In Person event on Tuesday, January 29th to find out about this important if little remarked upon craft. That’s when Dave Satin presents and leads a discussion about just what goes into his work as a DIT on the set of top features and commercials in New York City.
With over 35 years of experience in the New York production community, Dave Satin, a member of the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600, will explain what goes into a DIT’s duties including setting up and supervising “the end to end image and audio workflow to ensure the integrity of the image from the point of capture through to the hand off to postproduction.”
We’ll be presenting the evening with our partners at Showbiz Café, located at 19 West 21st Street in Manhattan’s Photography District. The evening's talk is free, open to the public and begins at 7pm. If you do plan on attending, please let us know by filling out this quick form!
